Bharat has been the creator and sustainer of Dharm, knowledge and science tradition since time immemorial. As an important and integral part of Sanatan, they expanded to other parts of the world as well. In this expansion, the contribution of the Dharmic centers of Bharat was the most because in these dharmic places, along with spirituality, educational activities were also going on continuously. One such Sanatan Dharma Kendra, Chausath Yogini Mandir, located in Morena district of Madhya Pradesh was conferred the title of Tantric University of Bharat. Inspired by the design of this Mandir built about 700 years ago today, the present circular Parliament of Bharat was built. There is a local belief about the Mandir that even today no one can stay in the Mandir at night, neither humans nor animals and birds.
Tantra Sadhana and Research Center established by Gurjar Raja:
The Chausath Yogini Mandir is also known as the Ekattso Mahadev Mandir, located in the village of Mitavali near Padavali, Morena. Many ancient inscriptions were found in the Mandir and its surrounding area, which gave information about the construction of the Mandir. The Mandir was built in 1323 by the Gurjar king Devpal. Chausath Yogini Mandir was a Mandir as well as a center of education. Here education was imparted in astrology and mathematics based on the transit of the Sun. Apart from, this place was also an important center of Tantra Sadhana, where seekers from all corners of the world used to come to Morena to get proficiency in Tantra Sadhana. This is the reason why this Mandir was called the Tantric University of Bharat.
64 Yoginis, 1 Shivling and circular structure:
The Chausath Yogini Mandir, one of the few circular Mandirs in Bharat, has 64 rooms where a Yogini is seated in each room. A Shivling is also installed with each Yogini. There is a mandapam located right in the center of the Mandir complex where the main Shivling has been established. Local residents and those who have knowledge about the Mandir believe that this Mandir is still covered by the armor of Shiv Tantra Sadhana.

All the sixty-four yoginis are believed to be avatar of Mata Kali. In these sixty-four Yoginis, 10 Mahavidyas and Siddha Vidyas are also counted. All the Yoginis located here are related to Tantra and Yog Vidya, so even today Yoginis are awakened here. The most mysterious thing about the Mandir is that it is forbidden to stay here at night. No humans, even animals and birds are not seen in the Mandir premises during the night.
Lutyens’ Parliament House inspired by Chausath Yogini Mandir:
Inspired by the Chausath Yogini Mandir of Morena, the Bharatiya Parliament was built by the British architect Edwin K. Lutyens during 1921-27. Although this fact has not been officially recorded anywhere, but by looking at the Mandir, it is known that the design of the Parliament House was inspired by this Mandir. By the way, it is foolish to expect the British, who yearn to destroy the Bharatiya Sanatan Gyan tradition, that they will accept that they built the most important building of the then Bharat, inspired by the design of a Hindu Mandir. But the truth does not need to be recorded anywhere, it manifests itself.
Chausath Yogini Mandir rests on 101 pillars while the Bharatiya Parliament on 144 pillars. Both are of circular shape. The Mandir has 64 rooms while the Parliament House has 340 rooms. The biggest feature of the two is that just as there is a huge pavilion in the center of Chausath Yogini Mandir, where the Shivling form of Bhagwan Shiv is seated, in the same way a large hall is built in the center of the Parliament House.
